A Pilgrimage of Light
A pilgrimage is a journey toward something we cannot always yet see—a journey shaped by hope, uncertainty, longing, and faith. A Pilgrimage of Light brings together a cappella choral music from five centuries to trace such a journey: from joyful proclamation, through contemplation and darkness, toward renewal and illumination.

We aren’t just any choir
Cantabile Chamber Singers is a Toronto-based, non-profit chamber choir founded in 2006 by Artistic Director Cheryll J. Chung.
Our mission is to raise social awareness through music and to promote the work of living Canadian composers while staying grounded in a cappella choral tradition.
We are committed to presenting choral music that is both meaningful and accessible, combining informed interpretation with innovative programming that resonates with audiences of all ages.
We sing diverse music
At Cantabile, we believe in the power of cultural diversity while still remaining grounded in a cappella choral tradition and strive to reflect it in the music we perform.
Through dynamic concerts and creative collaborations, we aim to inspire, enlighten, and attract a new generation of Canadians to the richness of the choral arts.
We work with composers collaboratively to commission new works. We have premiered over 100 new works by living composers through our call for new scores annually.
